The Joy of Painting with Tristan Meriam

Join us at The Tesserae Factory for this phenomenal 2 Day chalk paint party presented by Tristan Merriam of Dog Head Designs.  We are ONE of only FOUR Canadian boutiques chosen to host this FANTASTIC Workshop!   

Tristan is a Brand Ambassador for Annie Sloan, and will be traveling to Canada from the UK to present this Workshop!

Tristan is an experienced teacher who reclaims and up-cycles quality furniture using a range of specialist paint techniques.  He is a Stockist for Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and uses it on all furniture that he applies his art to.  Tristan teaches Workshops and runs Retreats for Annie Sloan, both in the UK and abroad.  He has also appeared on BBC's Money for Nothing, and his work has been featured in three of Annie Sloan's "Bookazines" The Colourist.

Who can attend?  ANYONE! 

Novice Painters -  This workshop is for all levels of paint knowledge.  We will have support staff to guide you through all aspects of Tristan's lessons. 

Experienced Painters - We are SURE that you will find this to be a once in a lifetime opportunity to work and collaborate with a brilliant artist. 

Learning....

We are going to dive into the paint can... dip the brush... splatter the aprons!!!!  This JOP Workshop is going to be amazing!!!!!  Some of the techniques that Tristan will be guiding us through include:

• *Texture
• *Using a palette knife
• *Gilding
• *Dry Brushing
• *Blending
• *Raised Stencilling
• *Ombre
• *Paint Pour
• *Polished Plaster, using different coloured Chalk Paint Waxes
• *Bloomsbury inspired Charleston Farmhouse hand painting
• *Exploring new products such as inlays, metallic paints, decor transfers, moulding

On both days lunch will be prepared by local cateres and presented to each attendee.  We will offer snacks throughout the day with some possible bubbly at the end of each day to cheer all of the new friendships.
